Any mom can join the MOMS Club. However, because almost all of our activities are held during the day on weekdays (when stay-at-home moms need the most support), we are most suited for moms who are at home during the day. Some of our moms have home-based businesses or part-time jobs outside the home.
Membership Includes: Membership Circles, Playgroups, Field Trips, Park Days, MOMS Night Out, Family Nights, Holiday Parties, Community Service Projects, Membership in our Yahoo Group, Monthly Newsletter, Sunshine Committee assistance (The Sunshine Committee allows us to help our fellow moms during times of need, such as births, illnesses, deaths, etc. We help with services such as making meals, babysitting, grocery shopping, house cleaning, and more. This program truly makes a real difference when a mom is in need and is greatly appreciated!)
As soon as your Chapter Guidelines Acknowledgment form, Liability Form and dues are turned in you can participate in any and all activities offered by our chapter.
Yahoo Group Message Board
Our members can join our Yahoo Group if they would like. This message board is a great way to reach out to other moms. Whether you have a question about a good doctor, potty training, or tantrums, the moms in our club are a wealth of information.
Monthly Newsletter
Once a month our newsletter is published for our members and is sent out via e-mail. The newsletter includes information regarding upcoming events such as fundraisers, parties, new members, birthdays, birth announcements, advertisements from local businesses, and some fun stuff too! As always the newsletter also includes a monthly calendar to tell members about all our scheduled events.
Annual membership dues are $25, and are due the day you join. Dues help to defer many of the costs of running the club. As this is a non-profit club, we can spend very little on parties, etc. and thus rely on our membership to donate the time and supplies to make our gatherings work, or to help with fundraising events to raise the money for special events. The Board, Coordinators and other Committee Members are volunteers and are not paid in any way.
It is our goal to be available to all members of our community that are interested in our club. If the $25 annual dues would provide a financial hardship for you, you may apply to our board for a reduction, payment plan, or waving of dues for one year. All applications for reduced dues will be handled with confidentiality.
As a potential member you are also invited to attend two events before deciding to join. By requesting a membership packet, you will receive a list of events for the current month. Events you are invited to attend will be marked and all you have to do is RSVP to our Membership VP letting her know what event you would like to attend. RSVP's are expected by 5pm the day before any event unless otherwise noted.
